Sydney Carmona

Actor • Singer • Dancer

Hi, I’m Sydney!

Hey there! My name is Sydney Carmona, and I am an actor, singer, and dancer based in NYC. In May 2025, I will be graduating from Syracuse University with a BFA in Musical Theatre (Bleed Orange!).

Originally from just outside of Sacramento, California, I grew up as a strange and unusual child until I naturally bloomed into an insatiable theatre kid. I have been in love with the art of telling stories for my entire life, from my voracious childhood reading habits to telling scary stories at recess and eventually to performing in as many musicals as I could get my grubby little hands on.

In my time at Syracuse, I have discovered a love for new works, complex characters, and anything that can make me laugh and cry in the same breath. I have had a wide variety of experiences that have spurred my growth, including writing and performing my own solo cabaret, workshopping a new musical, studying at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, and being a part of a traveling children’s show. As an artist, I try to approach everything I do with a sense of bravery and humor, with my entire heart at the ready.

Outside of performing, I love reading, making visual art, trying new things, and hanging out with my friends!

FEATURED: Watch my Senior Cabaret!

During the fall semester of my senior year, I wrote and performed a 30-minute solo cabaret called Play Pretend, in which I explored the challenges of growing up, navigating the real world, and trying to hold onto to the sense of wonder I used to know by heart.
